A pretty enjoyable, fun yet dark shonen that’s about a secret agency that fights crime. The members have a strong sense of mission and a respectable level of loyalty that goes beyond the generic power of friendship trope.

Mob Psycho is an anime about a shy boy, Mob, who ends up getting psychic powers, and fears becoming a complete outcast until the opposite happens and he starts making more friends. The animation is godly, especially in fights. The psychic powers are interesting because the writer had to have used some psychic ability to come up with them. Telekinesis, barrier layer creation, scamming people until it works(Reigen), light distortion and many cool abilities related to physics and the supernatural world.

Hunter X Hunter has one of the best written Shonen stories. The anime community agrees that the writing and storytelling are on another level. The artstyle’s good, the fights have smooth animation and it never lacks. Nen is a top tier power for another reason than Naruto/Bleach, its power system is extremely balanced and formed in a way that leaves room for infinite possibilities while staying reasonable. The goal is pretty generic, be Number 1, but the way of getting to the goal has so much good/unique storytelling and attention to plot points that makes it better written than most classics. Also, fast-paced and little-to-no fillers. Black Clover nails what every other shonen fails at, team fighting.
